Graffiti Art

There are a lot of Graffiti Arts around our school building and it looks very attractive.

Any passerby in an urban city has observed the colorful, provocative, illegal "eyesore" that is graffiti. Although many consider the spray-painted pieces a nuisance, graffiti has been gaining recognition from the art world more and more as a legitimate form of art.

Singapore Street Art

This few art pieces are found in the street of Haji Lane .

The artist Sheryo paints imperfects gnarly characters that are calming to disoriented souls , and might cause skitter scatter explosions in the brain.

The designs of the graffiti depicts altered states of consciousness, using a vast array of tools, such as  abstract images, designs, and full spectrum , which is also known as.

Psychedelic art  .

This is an other colorful wall depicting Indians of South / Central American which is found in the street of Haji Lane too .

The art pieces were actually painted on a traditional shop-house walls .

I find the art piece interesting and attractive.

Malaysia, Penang Street Art

These amazing art pieces are done by street artist Ernest Zacharevic .

He transformed Georgetown , Penang , into a street art hot spot with his interactive and ''instagram-worthy'' mural.

His art works are combination of 2D wall paintings and 3D objects.

The New package

ThThe last lesson that I remember is looking for the weird package in the shops first. And after that we need to design a new interesting package for the items. Therefore, I with my group member went to the supermarket and to find the weird package that they had.
We bought a snack which the package is look quite boring and simple. So we decide to design a new package for it.
However, when we were back to the class and teacher call us to exchange our items to each other. We get a transparent  package with a plastic egg ball. It may separate the egg white and the yolk yellow as I think.
Therefore, we made a chicken shape package and put the ball inside the chicken stomach.
This is how does the snacks look after the other group decorate it! It look more colourful and attractive!

Those are the other package done by the other groups! Have fun!

The journey to the art museum - sensorium 360º

This is our second time to visit the Singapore art museum for free! :) this time is for the lesson 'into visual arts'.the sensorium 360º is an exhibition of contemporary art  which called the complexity of the 5 human senses

The first room that we entered is a dark room and there are something amazed me. We saw a whole set of collection glasses places on top of each other and it look very stable! There are some white light appear frome the glasses. It looks amazing!

The most interesting part is the laser room! The radiation lights makes me feel like in a movie or club! I love the feeling when I in the room and is so cool!

There are some picture on the wall and I think It looks scary!
In the end come to the 5 human senses ! We can taste , touch, hear , smell and feel it! It's an amazing journey that we never had!

The new school, new class and new friends

Until now so far I had met a lot of new friends here and they are really friendly. I still remember when I first time I came to the new class, they tried to explain what did they do and what should I do next very patiently. I didn't felt any uncomfortable and awkward.

At the third week of school, one of my classmates is having her birthday! We are celebrate her birthday together with the teacher during the lesson and we tried to give her a surprise!

On that day, we all brought a lot of snacks and someone bought a big strawberry birthday cake for her.

I think that day she really have fun and have a great birthday party for her! Anyways happy birthday to her and hope her may come true! =)

The Role Model

Marilyn Monroe

WHO IS  MARILYN MONROE ?

Marilyn Monroe was born at Norma Jeane Mirtenson ; June 1, 1926 – August 5, 1962, She was an American actress, model, and singer, who became a major sex symbol , starring in a number of commercially successful motion pictures during the 1950s and early 1960s.

I admire her confident & she is a great inspiration , how she's inspiring ?
Her whole life stories is inspiring , she is someone who dare to dream & she never gave up , she is the kind of women i would learn from .

Marilyn Monroe was also the influential in art of more than 50 artists , in styles ranging from fashion photography to Pop art. Images of well loved movie scenes, familiar publicity photos and biographical glimpses into Marilyn's private moments, cover her rise to stardom, and ultimately, her struggle to empower herself.

Soon after she married, Marilyn was “discovered” by a photographer while her husband was away working; she immediately knew she wanted to seek out more opportunities particularly in acting. She did what she needed to in order to make that happen: in the same year, she had filed for divorce, changed her name, dyed her hair blond, and starred in a film. She’d been reborn.

Marilyn didn't just want fame; she wanted to be taken seriously as an actress. So she studied with some of the biggest acting coaches of the time and even went to the actors’ studio to strengthen her craft. It paid off; she began to gain popularity among filmmakers and with audiences.

Even after her spike in popularity, Marilyn was still typecast in the “vapid, cutesy” roles, many of which she won awards for. She could have given up, acquiescing to a life of prestige, but instead she fought, hard, with studio executives to hire her for the roles she wanted. Indeed, in some of her films, writers that liked her would include witty one-liners that gave her characters a better dimension a sly acknowledgment that Marilyn was more than just a pretty girl.

Faces within objects

This lesson we need to find faces on objects that all around our daily life! We started to walkin around the school and look for the faces which hide in the corner!

Fortunately, we found it!
This is a 'face' which appear on the vending machine. The two button at the top represent the eyes and the big black rectangle represents the mouth.
The two stone look like our eyes and the mouth is the small thin branch!

Those are very obvious pictures that shows the faces on objects.
The two windows represent the eyes as said ,"The eyes are the window of the soul." The stone on the pillar post represent the mouth.

  • This one is a project done by upper level student which exhibited at the corridor door. After this lesson we all realize that we need to slow down our steps and need to observe carefully!
